Vacancies

The Penrith Symphony Orchestra welcomes enquiries from musicians interested in playing either regularly or on call as an occasional extra or substitute player.

Previous orchestral experience is preferable. Prospective players are subject to assessment by the relevant Section Leader and the Principal Conductor / Artistic Director.

The following minimum qualifications or equivalent standard are expected:

• Strings – 6th Grade AMEB
• Wind and Brass – 7th Grade AMEB

There are currently positions available in the orchestra for the following instruments:

• Violin
• Cello
• Viola
• Double Bass
• Bassoon
• Trombone (tenor and bass)
